Autos & Auctions, benefiting the Foundation for Center Education, was a great success! The event was held on Saturday, February 6th at the Armacost Museum in Grandview. Over 140 people attended the event and enjoyed a wonderful buffet, drinks, networking with fellow supporters of the Center School District, tours of an amazing display of vintage automobiles and the opportunity to bid on over 75 auction items. Our emcee, Mark Alford, of Fox4 News did a great job and everyone enjoyed the program, highlighted by presentations from Aimee Alderman-Oler about Parents as Teachers and from Ron Coker of our Presenting Sponsor Burns & McDonnell. Ron ended his talk with the presentation of a $5,000 check to the Foundation!
Thanks to all of our sponsors, all of the companies and individuals who donated items to our auction, to the Armacost family for the use of the museum, to the committee and Board of the Foundation, and to everyone who supported us with their attendance and auction purchases.
The event raised over $19,000 for the Foundation, which will be used to support the efforts of our outstanding teaching staff in the Center School District as they work to enhance educational opportunities for all of our students.
