Dear Student, Parent (s) and/or Guardian:
Center High School welcomes you back to another academic year. Our tradition of excellence lies with the foundation of success drawn from the abilities of our students. There is so much to celebrate; Accreditation with Distinction, Gold Star School, Blue Ribbon nominee, National Merit finalist, and  over 95% attendance. The list could go on and on. Our students strive to advance themselves, the school, and the community in their efforts. These successes are exhibited through academics, sports, and activities.
Center High School students have the ability to embark on a very rigorous course of study. Courses range from honors and advanced (AP) classes, to UMKC or dual credit courses. The High School partners with several different universities to provide college experiences in high school.   Our goal is to grant access for as many students as possible to graduate with college credit.
Clubs and activities truly enhance the student’s experience while in school. With more than 25 clubs or activities to participate in, not to mention a myriad of sports teams for both boys and girls, there is something for everyone here. Students who participate in activities or sports are expected to maintain excellence in the classroom and adhere to Board approved standards. Center is truly proud of the percentage of students involved in the high school’s overall community and their achievements both in and outside of the classroom.
Our traditions, high expectations, and true belief that ALL students can achieve are the cornerstones for success at CHS. Academics, attendance, participation, and a strong commitment to the school’s community guide our students and staff. Center welcomes you to another exciting and successful year.

Snow Make-Up Days (ADDITION)
We’ve already served two of our snow make-up days according to the district calendar.    Our next make-up day will be:
·         Friday, April 25

Please mark your calendars accordingly.  Also, we will be adding days to the end of the school year.  We will make an announcement about the total number of days sometime after the threat of winter weather decreases.  We will announce the last day of school at that time.

Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we’ve navigated these past few days of winter weather.  We are looking forward to seeing our students next week!
