Farewell from Dr. Marsden
As we wind up this school year, I would like to share a farewell to all of our Red Bridge Families. As you may have heard, I have resigned my position as the Principal of Red Bridge School at the conclusion of the 2011-12 school year. My decision to leave the Red Bridge family was not an easy one. I have been fortunate to have worked with the families of the Center Community for the past eight years. Over this time we have shared in creating a wonderful learning community where students are valued, celebrated, and supported. Together, our goal has been for every child to grow and succeed. Thank you for the incredible opportunities that you have given me as I have worked with your children and families over the years. I will certainly miss Red Bridge Elementary!

Spring Has Sprung!
A great sign that the end of the year is near is when the planning stages for the school Carnival begins. This year is no different, and the long-awaited spring season is springing within our classrooms. We need your help in continuing to support your Roadrunners in their positive academic and behavior efforts.

At school, we will continue to enhance student success through our “High Five expectations.” Our students are reminded every day of the building’s High Five’s. Students are expected to be kind, cooperative, safe, respectful and peaceful at school. All of these will help them be responsible Red Bridge students right up through the last day of school!

We have many fun activities planned for our Roadrunners in the coming weeks. Thank you in advance for your support in helping us to maintain a positive learning environment by reminding your children that we continue to expect great things from them each and every day!

What Websites Can My Child Visit to Practice Reading?

Our students have home access to all Accelerated Reader tests! To find out what AR tests are available, go to www.arbookfind.com You can search several different ways to find those just right books for your child. Although we have access to all the tests, we do not have all the books! To see which books we have at Red Bridge, you can easily go to http://destiny.center.k12.mo.us and click on “Red Bridge.” Each student has a log in for Destiny (the log in is the same as their school computer log in.)   If they log in, they will be able to put books on hold; making it easier to find a just right book for them! They do not have to log in to search for books, only to place holds or to see what they currently have checked out.
