Title IV

Center School District is required to report progress on the CSIP (Comprehensive School Improvement Plan) as related to Title IV funds, which include safe and drug-free schools and other preventative initiatives.
Center School District’s continuing CSIP goal is to increase student achievement in grades Pre-K – 12.
Strategy: To identify and implement a systemic approach to career education.
Activity: We have shown growth and improvement in decreasing the drop-out rate from 6.7% in 2001 to 2.3% in 2005; in increasing attendance numbers; in decreasing the number of suspensions; in increased A+ program numbers; in vocational data; in MAP data scores; and in fulfilling guidance needs.

***********************************

Strategy: To examine and revise the pyramid of interventions currently implemented by SST at the middle and high schools.

Activity: There is a task force in place.
***********************************

Strategy: To identify, review, evaluate strategies currently in use with non-achieving students. Pre K-12.

Activity: Utilize programs such as SST, BIST, tutoring, YouthFriends, mentoring, etc.
***********************************

Strategy: To identify and implement intervention strategies for students with reading and/or math one year or more below grade level.

Activity: Evaluate test scores; evaluate tutorials; assess practices. This is on-going and continuous throughout our plan.
