It is with great honor that the faculty and staff welcomes you to another exciting year of distinction at Center High School. Center was built on outstanding traditions of excellence. These deep roots of merit exist throughout the high school and are especially exhibited in academics, sports and activities.
Through academics Center students have the ability to embark on a very rigorous course of study. These courses range from honors and advanced classes, to UMKC or dual credit courses. College hours can be earned while in High School if the student chooses these challenging, yet rewarding classes.
There are more than 25 clubs and activities in which to participate, not to mention a myriad of sports teams for both boys and girls. High school is more than just academics and all students are encouraged to become involved in any sport or activity that interests them. Students participating in activities or sports are expected to maintain excellence in the classroom and adhere to Board approved standards. Center is truly proud of the number of students involved in the high school’s overall community and their achievements both in and outside of the classroom.
Our high expectations and belief that all students can achieve are the cornerstones for success at CHS. Academics, attendance, participation, and a strong commitment to the school community guide our students and staff. Center welcomes you to another exciting and successful year.
