Amy Carr
Board term ends 2023

Amy Carr - Amy Carr joined the Board in June of 2020. She is excited to join the board with the hopes of serving the community and ensuring excellent education for all our students. Amy believes that communication and transparency are a vital part of any organization, and wants to help improve education by ensuring the voices of students, staff, and community are heard in our district.

She is a multi-generational Center School District graduate. She has a Bachelors in Education from Northwestern Missouri State and a Masters in Education from Framingham State in Massachusetts. She and her husband and 4-year-old son live in the district. She has spent the last 15 years teaching, including positions in Mexico and South Korea, where she oversaw a team of 17 teachers. She taught at Center Elementary and Indian Creek before leaving to teach Spanish part-time at Hale Cook Elementary School in the Kansas City Public Schools. You may reach Amy Carr  at
