Center School District honored three retirees at the annual retirement dinner on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Center Elementary School Administrative Assistant Elizabeth Cunningham was honored for 22 years of service, Center High School Special Education Teacher Diane Harris was honored for 5 years of service, and Center High School Paraprofessional Veretta Jack was honored for 24 years of service.
Center Elementary School Principal Christina Cozad and Center High School Principal Mark Wiegers shared memories and reflections of their time with the district.
Elizabeth Cunningham has loved her Center Elementary family with all her heart. During her years of service, she influenced the lives of countless staff, students, and their families. Her time at Center Elementary will never be forgotten.
Diane Harris has been an asset to CHS. She currently serves as the Special Education Department Chair and does an incredible job helping all students that she interacts with. Diane also serves on the CHS Guiding Coalition. She is always willing to jump in and help when needed, and she will be greatly missed!
Veretta Jack has been a paraprofessional at CHS for 24 years. She has been very involved at CHS throughout the years helping with drama productions, and attending all kinds of activities. Ms. Jack has also served on the CHS “For the Family” committee, which helps plan events for our staff. It will be strange not seeing Ms. Jack everyday next year, and we will miss her dearly.
Congratulations to our 2025 retirees! You will be missed!
