The Heart of Center Award recognizes a staff member who goes above and beyond to make a positive difference for students, colleagues, families, and the community. The November 2025 Heart of Center recipients are Rico Nimrod, Center High School Custodian, and Anne Prosch, Center Middle School Special Education Teacher. Nimrod and Prosch were awarded at the November 24, 2025 Board of Education meeting.

Mr. Nimrod (pictured above) was nominated by Custodian Meredith Snelling who said, Mr. Nimrod is “easygoing and always quick to assist staff, students, and parents with anything they need.” Other staff shared that Nimrod is amazing, never complains, and is always willing to help when needed. He shows up with a smile, and he regularly asks, “What do you need?” If he sees someone who needs assistance, he stops immediately to help. He is kind, trustworthy, and reliable. He takes pride in his work, and you can see and feel that pride in the school’s environment.

Mrs. Prosch (pictured below) was nominated by Center Middle School parent Jen Stapleton, who said, “Mrs Prosch builds genuine relationships with her students. Our daughter’s progress is a testament to Mrs. Prosch’s investment in her education. She truly sees her students and their potential and then treats them accordingly.” Other staff shared that the work Prosch is doing is outstanding. She stays in constant communication with the office, goes above and beyond, and is fully committed to her students. Her lesson plans are excellent, and she even cooks with her students. She is warm, caring, and loving. She is truly amazing not just for her students, but for all of our students. She is very supportive of the program she is part of, and you can see the growth of the students in her class.
