Center High School senior Ezra VanRiette has been awarded the prestigious McAfee scholarship from Park University. The McAfee Scholarship, awarded to incoming freshmen, provides full tuition and fees for four years. Park University has been VanRiette’s top choice for college, and he plans to major in Business or Accounting and play volleyball.
Van Riette’s achievement is a point of pride for Center School District. He has been a student in the Center School District since kindergarten at Red Bridge Elementary, and his success demonstrates the unlimited potential of Center graduates.
The McAfee Scholarship is a highly competitive academic scholarship. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.75 and a recommended test score of 28 or higher on the ACT or 1310 or higher on the SAT.
Park University Admission Counselor Kalani Earls awarded VanRiette with the scholarship on the last day of school before winter break. He was called out of class and surprised by his parents, sister, and Earls.
Congratulations Ezra! Center School District is proud of your hard work and success!
