Mental Health

Kids suffering from mental health issues struggle to learn. The Center School District has recognized the importance of providing mental health support for our kids for many years. We have social workers in every one of our buildings to provide that support.

Four years ago, we were only able to provide part time social workers for our elementary students. Thanks to funding from the Children's Services Fund, we now have a full time social worker in each elementary building. Their ability to provide preventative support, rather than just responding to crisis situations, has resulted in measureable improvements in student mental health.

The tax that supports these social workers through the Children's Services Fund is up for renewal on November 8th. We can't tell you how to vote, but want to let you know that a portion of the tax that is renewed on November 8th supports our kids in the Center School District.
