Center High School Wrestling Makes History
Center High School wrestler Aireona Ealy qualified for the MSHSAA State Wrestling Championships for the second time in her career, becoming the first female wrestler in Center history to reach state more than once.
With 40 wins this season, Aireona competed with toughness and pride at the state level, earning a match victory and representing Center with determination. Her achievement reflects both her strong work ethic and the continued growth of the girls wrestling program.

Center Middle School Cheer Earns Multiple Championships
Center Middle School Cheerleaders delivered an outstanding performance at the KCPS Spirit Team Championship, earning 1st place in Sideline Cheer, 1st place in Game Day for the third consecutive year, and the Overall High Score for the second year in a row.
The team was also recognized with the Judge’s Choice Award for Outstanding Showmanship, highlighting their energy, teamwork, and school spirit.
CHS Students Shine at Aspiring Educators Competition
Center High School students representing Herndon Career Center earned top honors at the Missouri Aspiring Educators Competition.
Kennady Lingle placed third in Children’s Literature (K–3), and Allison Van Horn earned first place in the Creative Lecture/Ted Talk category, demonstrating strong communication and instructional skills.
Red Bridge Elementary Wins Overall Gold in Math Relays
Red Bridge Elementary students captured Overall Gold at the Prep-KC Math Relays, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and problem-solving across challenging math events.
Their success reflects the dedication of students and the support of teachers Ms. Boehmer, Mrs. Butler, Ms. Gates, and Mrs. Smith, who provided additional coaching and encouragement.

Early Learning Students Explore Art and Music During Black History Month
Students at Yellowjacket Early Learning Center celebrated Black History Month through creative, hands-on learning. They studied artist Alma Thomas, created colorful artwork, and explored the music of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Aretha Franklin through movement, instruments, and storytelling. These experiences helped young learners build cultural awareness and express their creativity.
Together, these achievements highlight the powerful learning experiences happening across Center School District.
