A great chance to visit with Dr. Cargile and share any questions, concerns, or compliments you have! Email Stephanie Archie at sarchie@center.k12.mo.us to get a link to join.

As part of the ongoing work to improve racial equity in the Center School District, Superintendent Cargile is leading a series of group discussions on how to do a better job of helping our Black and Latino boys succeed in school and in life.
The next discussion meeting will be this Tuesday, December 13th from 4:00 - 5:30 pm in the Center High School Cafeteria. We will be discussing an article written by Robert Jackson. Click this link to read the article, entitled "Helping Black and Latino Males Succeed" - https://www.ascd.org/el/articles/helping-black-and-latino-males-succeed
Robert Jackson, a Black educator, began his teaching career with a no-nonsense but caring approach to education in Indianapolis public schools more than 20 years ago—after being cut from the NFL (Minnesota Vikings). He created a No More Excuses curriculum, which has been featured in publications nationally and is being used in K–12 schools, colleges, and universities.
The article offers clear and thought provoking ideas to help our Black and Latino boys succeed. We look forward to great learning for all participants on Tuesday.
If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Stephanie Archie at sarchie@center.k12.mo.us. We hope to see you at 4:30 on Tuesday in the CHS Cafeteria.
