The Heart of Center Award recognizes a staff member who goes above and beyond to make a positive difference for students, colleagues, families, and the community. The November 2025 Heart of Center recipients are Jackie Williamson (above), Accounts Payable, and Jeanette Giangrosso (below) “Ms. G,” Special Education Teacher, Center High School. Williamson and Ms. G were awarded at the December 15, 2025 Board of Education meeting.
Ms. Williamson consistently demonstrates exceptional performance within the Finance Department. Her contributions have been instrumental to the department’s success, and she continues to operate at a high level in every task assigned. Her loyalty to the Center School District and commitment to doing what is best for staff and students are evident in everything she does. Colleagues have relied heavily on her guidance over the years, and her steady support has meant a great deal. Jackie is consistently knowledgeable, hardworking, and always willing to help.
Ms. G wears many hats at Center School District including Co-CHS 504 Coordinator, YJST/Advisory Teacher, Dual Credit Leadership Instructor, SGA Lead Sponsor, CHS Girls Swim & Dive Coach, 9, 10, 11, & 12 Class Sponsor, and Special Education Teacher. She is a pillar of the Center School District. Her colleagues shared that Jeannette builds strong relationships with parents and is a dedicated advocate for students, empowering them to advocate for themselves while always putting student needs first. She is approachable, willing to step in wherever needed, and deeply committed to Center. Outgoing, energetic, and conscientious, Jeannette consistently supports both students and colleagues, encouraging others to do their best and fostering a welcoming, productive environment. Her commitment to students and her team exemplifies the values recognized by the Heart of Center Award.
