Congratulations to the District Support Person of the Year -Ms. Sara Clayton, Paraprofessional at Center Elementary.

Through an in-person interview process, the district review team, which included retired teachers and community members, chose the District Support Staff of the Year. The 2021-2022 Award goes to Ms. Sara Clayton, Paraprofessional at Center Elementary.

Ms. Clayton has served as a paraprofessional for four years and began volunteering with the district as a PTO parent in 2008.  She always has a smile on her face and a positive word to share.  Ms. Clayton is described as a team player and truly has a heart for our students, staff, and community.  Her peers share, “she works tirelessly to build relationships with her students both academically and emotionally. She also makes connections with students who are not on her caseload and genuinely enjoys being around all children. Sara works to build relations with teachers in the building by helping, words of encouragement, or a laugh to help lighten the mood. She is THE most spirited person at CE and always takes part in theme days, competitions, or holiday dress-up days. Sara has been active in the Center School district for many years and has worked in several positions around the district. We are so thankful she found her way to Center Elementary because she makes a positive impact every day with students and teachers.”
