On Saturday evening, June 10th, over 180 alumni, community members and Center staff celebrated the induction of 11 individuals and 4 teams into the Center High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Because of COVID restrictions, nobody had been inducted since 2019, so we made up for lost time with four separate induction classes. New members included:
Induction Class of 2020
- 1956 Football Team - undefeated and Mid-West Conference Champions
- 1957 Track Team - 2nd place in State with only 4 state qualifying athletes
- Michael Coleman - Class of 1996 - All-State Soccer Goalkeeper and All-State Track
Induction Class of 2021
- Keith LaQuey - Class of 1957 - All-State Track & Football
- 1970 Football Team - State Runner-Up with All-American Rolland Fuchs
- Matthew Bolch - All- State Football & Track, long-time area coach
Induction Class of 2022
- Thomas Morrell - Class of 1952 - football and track star who played football for four years at Mizzou
- 1971 Wrestling Team - State runner up with two state champions
- Brad Sweeten - Center graduate, 20-year coach and administrator who epitomizes love for student and coaches
Induction Class of 2023
- Vick Bland - 30 year carees as a Junior High School Coach to laid the foundation for many successful athletes and teams
- Jon Koncak - Class of 1981 - basketball star who was a member of the 1984 USA Olympic team and 11-year career in the NBA
- Julia Koncak - Class of 1983 - basketball star at Center and Texas Tech University - early pioneer as a female student/athlete
- Jerron Forte - Class of 2006 - All-State champion in 400 meter and member of Mizzou track team for four years
- Cara Forte - Class of 2010 - All-State track in 100m and 200m races, All-Big 12 and All SEC while at Mizzou
- Maliek Collins - Class of 2013 - State wrestling champion, All-State football, 7 year career (and counting) in the NFL
