The administration building at 8701 Holmes (also known as the Center "White House") will be demolished in early June after nearly 100 years of use. About 57 of those years saw the house serve as administrative offices for the school district.
We are hosting a farewell event on Monday, May 22 from 4pm to 7pm. This is an open house event where you can come when you want and stay as long as you want. We will NOT be able to offer tours of the building due to safety issues, but we will have refreshments, a table with yearbooks to look through, a history of the original chicken farmhouse, a place to write your favorite stories, and an opportunity to take photos.

One of our favorite events of the year is Cookies with Kindergartners at Center Elementary School. During the last few weeks, students each created their own Alphabet Books, with drawings of items that start with each letter of the alphabet. Today, the students share their books with parents, staff, and community members. After they read, everyone enjoyed wonderful cookies served by the teachers.
Our favorite letter/picture combination today?
"Q" is for "?" (Question mark).

Center Elementary has a new Book vending machine! Students can earn the right to "purchase" a book by redeeming points from the SOARR expectations (being Safe, Orderly, having a Positive Attitude, being Responsible and Respectful). The first group of students to get books earned them by doing a great job during the MAP test assembly!
